Every year millions of electrical and electronic devices are discarded as the products break or become obsolete and are thrown away. The generation of e-waste is rising by 2.6 million tonnes annually, meaning that it could reach 82 million tonnes by 2030.

There is a growing need to develop strategies for a circular economy and events that bring together experts from across the globe to explore emerging technologies, best practices, and policy developments in the e-waste, battery, and metal recycling sectors.

E-Waste World Conference & Expo 2024 is one of the must-attend event for recycling companies, critical raw material suppliers, electronics manufacturers and suppliers, ITAD companies, and the entire electronic waste recycling supply chain. An occasion to discover the latest innovations and solutions to create a circular economy and help create sustainable supply chains for the future.

The exhibition took place at Messe Frankfurt in Germany on the 26th and 27th June. Over 2.000 international professionals and 1.000 companies came together to discuss about new technical developments, state-of-the-art interventions and research.

Osai Green Tech S.B. S.r.l. took part at E-Waste, presenting recycling plants for electronic waste: the RE4M plant for PCBs, the system for the recovery of rare earths from hard disks and the solution for the recycling and second life of batteries. It was particularly appreciated the management of photovoltaic modules at the end of their life. According to estimates, starting from 2028 the panels potentially at the end of their life and therefore available for recycling will be around 12 million pieces for a total of 235,000 tons. The solution Osai GreenTech is developing will therefore be an effective response to this upcoming challenge.
